The two-year drought is over. On a beautiful Pacific Northwest evening, the JPII Eagles softball team dusted off the rust and began league play for the first time since 2019. With a game heavy on offense, and many players with minor injuries, the Eagles held a 20-16 lead before time ended. The game was highlighted by great defensive plays by Ella and Nicia. Alli had 5 strikeouts in her first ever start, and both Giuliana and Josie held down the catching position nicely. Offensively the team was really aggressive on the bases, and had some timely hits, most notably the line-drive by Sophia. Way to go Eagles. Next game is Thursday against Rainier Christian.
